Taxi transportation from airport to hotel and hotel to airport is a 6.5 mile trip taking about 30-45 minutes with an average price of $40.

Public Transportation
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) offers public transportation to/from the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. The different methods of travel are as follows:

T (Subway) – 2 Options
The Red Line offers service to Kendall Square in Cambridge. From Kendall Square, guests have many options in arriving at the hotel. Guest’s can take the CT2 Bus that will stop directly in front of the hotel, or can opt to take a Taxi from Kendall Square – both options are a short 5 minute ride (two stops on the CT2).

The Green Line offers service to the Boston University West (BU West) station. The BU West Station is a short 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, or a simple 5-minute taxi ride. The Hyatt Regency Cambridge offers complimentary shuttle service to this stop.

Bus Service
MBTA offers bus service to/from the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, Overlooking Boston via the CT2 (Sullivan Station – Ruggles Station via Kendall/MIT). From Kendall Square, take the Inbound CT2 for two stops to the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, Overlooking Boston. From the hotel to Kendall Square, take the Outbound CT2 for the

 

Airport Transportation via Subway:

Subway (7 stops): 1.5 miles from hotel (taxi available)

Above Ground: BU Central (Green Line), 7 Stops.  The BU Central stop is a 15 minute walk from the Hyatt and will cost $2 to ride one-way.

Underground: Harvard Square or Kendall Square Red Line. 

 

Hyatt Regency Cambridge Complimentary Shuttle Schedule

The Hyatt Regency Cambridge provides complimentary shuttle service to select Cambridge and Boston destinations for our guests. The hotel shuttle service is offered in two 12-passenger vans.

General Shuttle Information:  Traffic conditions may change pick-up times, forcing the shuttle off schedule, especially during rush hour and inclement weather.  The Hyatt shuttle is for registered guests only.  If requested, please show your room key to driver as identification.  T-Stop schedules are available at the Guest Services desk.  For the safety of our passengers, luggage is not allowed on the shuttle.  Shuttle schedule for our hotel near Logan airport Boston, MA is subject to change without notice. 

 

MBTA Bus Stop:

MBTA Bus Stop (CT2) is located outside the hotel entrance on Amesbury Street.  MBTA Subway is 1.5 miles from hotel. The CT2 Bus connects to a T-Stop Subway Station which takes you into Boston. http://www.mbta.com/

Amtrak:
Bay Station is located 3 miles from the hotel, approximately 10-15 minutes away.  Amtrak also stops at South Station in the Financial District, which is approximately 5 miles, 20-30 minutes from the hotel.  Taxi is available to and from hotel. http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/HomePage

 

Driving Directions:

FROM THE WEST: From Mass Pike: Take exit 18 - Allston/Cambridge (left hand exit). Follow the signs for Cambridge. Cross the River Street Bridge, exit right at the end of the bridge onto Memorial Drive. Hyatt is 1/2 mile up on Memorial Drive (Route 3) on the left hand side. Turn left at the traffic light to access the hotel entrance and parking garage.

FROM THE SOUTH: From I-93: Take exit 26 - Storrow Drive/Back Bay/Cambridge. Stay in the right lane (Storrow Drive). Go 3/4 mile and take second exit on left, Government Center/Kendall Square. Go up the ramp and stay in the right lane. Turn right at the stop sign; go across the Longfellow Bridge. Take the first right off bridge and turn onto Memorial Drive (Route 3). Stay on Memorial Drive approximately 1 mile on right, at light turn right. Hyatt is on your left.

FROM THE NORTH: From I-93 or Route 1: Take exit 26 - Storrow Drive and follow "FROM THE SOUTH" directions.

FROM LOGAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: Follow signs to the Mass Turnpike: 90 Boston/Williams Tunnel. Pay toll upon exiting airport. You will be heading West on 90. From 90 West, take exit 20 Brighton/Cambridge (pay another toll). Out of the tollbooth, bear right following sign for Cambridge/Somerville exit. From this exit ramp, stay straight through two lights and cross over the bridge. Just over the bridge, turn right at the light onto Memorial Drive. Stay in the left lane. Continue up/over overpass keeping in left lane. At the first light on Memorial Drive make a left and then another quick left into the Hyatt front circle.

Visa Waiver Program  

International travelers who are seeking to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program are now subject to enhanced security requirements. All eligible travelers who wish to travel under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for authorization. Go to the Electronic System for Travel Authorization Web Site at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/. In addition, please be aware that certain travel documents must contain a “biometric identifier” in order to gain entry into the United States.  

When applying for a visa, the United States Consulate will require a letter of invitation from PREP 2012. Therefore, we kindly ask that you email your request for us to send you the official letter of invitation with the text that the letter should contain. The official letter of invitation should be requested several months in advance of the meeting, as it may take up to 6 months to get the visa processed. If you intend to submit an abstract to the meeting, we encourage you to submit the abstract prior to requesting the official letter of invitation.
